terms
last updated october 5, 2026
coins launched on pumpwas.fun can only be traded on pumpwas.fun. your tokens stay frozen in your wallet between trades. you can always sell here, at the pool price. you cannot send these tokens or sell them anywhere else. if pumpwas.fun ever shuts down, every coin is released first.
1. what this is
pumpwas.fun ("we", "the site") is a launchpad for Solana memecoins with an early-2024 look. it is not affiliated with pump.fun or any of its operators. by connecting a wallet, launching a coin or trading, you accept these terms. if you do not accept them, do not use the site.
2. site-only trading
- every coin is a classic SPL token whose liquidity sits in a Meteora DAMM v2 pool. the pool's token vault and every holder's token account are frozen at rest.
- a trade on the site is one Solana transaction that thaws the accounts it needs, swaps against the pool, takes the platform fee and freezes the accounts again. our signing service co-signs only these trades, built from fixed templates; it never signs anything you or anyone else supplies.
- terminals, bots, aggregators and other sites can see the pool but cannot trade it. you cannot transfer, burn, approve or sell these tokens outside pumpwas.fun.
- scanners (rugcheck, gmgn, birdeye and others) will show "freeze authority enabled". that is how the site-only gate works; coin creators have no power over it.
- king of the hill and graduation are display milestones only. nothing thaws, migrates or becomes freely transferable because of them. there is no migration to another exchange.
3. you can always sell
the signing service never refuses a sell, except for flood control (generous per-wallet rate limits). sells execute against the pool at its current price; slippage you set is enforced on chain. admin actions (hiding replies, nsfw flags, temporary bans) affect social features only, never trading.
a sell still needs a little SOL in your wallet for network fees and the temporary wrapped-SOL account (about 0.0021 SOL, almost all of it comes back in the same transaction). trading needs our service to be up: if it is down, you wait until it is back or until a release (section 5).
5. release policy
- a release thaws a coin's pool vault and every holder account, then revokes the freeze authority. the coin becomes a normal SPL token you can send and trade anywhere. a release is run with the hot key or the cold key.
- commitment: if pumpwas.fun ever shuts down, every coin is released before the site goes dark.
- releases happen only through that deliberate shutdown or recovery operation (for example if the signing service is lost for good). they never happen because of market cap, king of the hill or graduation.
6. fees
trades pay a 1% platform fee in SOL plus the pool's 0.01% fee and network fees. every SOL fee buys back and burns $PWF. details and the exact numbers are on [fees]; every buyback is listed on [burns].
7. launching a coin
- the creator pays the real costs of the launch (account rent and network fees, shown before you sign). coin data (name, ticker, description, image, links) cannot be changed after creation.
- images and metadata are stored on Arweave, which is public and permanent. do not upload anything you do not have the right to publish.
- the creator's optional first buy lands before anyone else can trade the coin, or public trading opens 20 seconds after the pool goes live.
- no illegal content, impersonation, scams or content that targets a private person. we can hide coins and replies and mark coins nsfw. a hidden coin leaves the board, but its page stays up so holders can always sell.
8. risks
- memecoins are extremely risky. most go to zero. only use money you can afford to lose.
- nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. we do not vet coins or their creators; anyone can launch anything.
- prices move fast and other people can trade before you. bots can use the site like anyone else, within the same rate limits.
- the site depends on Solana, Meteora's pool program, the SPL Token program, RPC providers and our own service. any of them can fail, be slow or have bugs.
- you are responsible for your wallet, its keys and every transaction you sign.
- you are responsible for following the laws where you live, including any tax on your trades.
9. no warranty
the site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from trading, price movements, outages, delays, bugs, third-party services or anything you sign. nothing in these terms limits the release commitment in section 5.
10. changes and contact
we may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. the site-only mechanism, the sell guarantee and the release commitment will not be weakened for coins that already exist.
